Wreaths Across America

Wreaths Across America at Wyuka is an event to pay tribute to fallen members of the military, honor those who serve and their families, and teach our children the value of freedom by placing wreaths on military graves at the holiday season. More than 1,000 locations around the country will take part in Wreaths Across America, including 24 offshore cemeteries, and Navy ships in the Seven Seas.

The laying of the wreaths on military graves at Wyuka Cemetery begins after the 11am  Saturday, December 16, 2017 program.  The 2017 theme is “I’m an American. Yes, I am!”

The Wyuka Historical Foundation invites you to participate by sponsoring a wreath, perhaps for a family member or as a remembrance for all those who have served in the armed forces. Wreaths Across America is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and documentation of your donation by purchasing a wreath(s) will be sent to you.

We hope you will support our efforts to help remember our veterans whose service and sacrifice helped preserve our freedom as well as freedom for other people around the world. For more information, please contact Wyuka Historical Foundation board member, Diane Bartels, 1801 Mindoro Dr., Lincoln NE 68506, phone 402-429-3342, DBSharpie@aol.com .

Donations for wreaths should be sent to and payable to Wyuka Historical Foundation, 3600 ‘0’ St, Lincoln, NE 68510. The purchase of one wreath is $15; however, because the foundation has chosen not to retain any funds for our efforts, your donation helps even more as $30 will sponsor 3 wreaths and $50 will sponsor 5 wreaths.
